Lois Keay-Smith

Lois Keay-Smith is Managing Director of Career Wisdom, a career transition and career development consultancy.  Her focus is on helping people to create and develop rewarding work lives and fulfil their potential.

Lois works with organisations to harness talent, coaching and developing leaders and assists employees with career development and career transition. With over a decade of career development experience, Lois helps managers to understand the fundamentals of career coaching so that they can have meaningful career discussions with staff, spot key strengths and help people to be more productive and engaged at work. “Manager as Career Coach” is a popular program in forward thinking organisations, combined with specialist career development support for all levels of staff, including executives embarking on their ‘career encore’ / retirement. 

Lois had a prior corporate career, working in corporate relations and investor education for the Australian Stock Exchange and in management in the finance industry, before embarking on a career change herself. She has also worked in the not for profit sector as a state manager in youth development and mental health.

Contracted as a Career Advisor by the Rugby Union Players Association and Australian Rugby Union, she assisted rugby union players from the Western Force, in Western Australia with their off-field development.  She has also worked with elite hockey players and ballet dancers.

Lois conducts presentations, workshops, seminar and training at conferences, in-house and groups, including topics such as Networking, Finding Strengths, Developing Career Confidence, You and Your Career – The Future of Work, in addition to specialist career transition and job finding workshops.
